Job Summary
Job Title: Radiology Lead Job Summary The Radiology Lead oversees daily operations within the radiology department ensuring accuracy efficiency and compliance in imaging documentation coding and workflow. This role provides leadership and technical guidance to radiology staff coordinates quality initiatives and collaborates with physicians billing and administrative teams to optimize performance and maintain high standards of patient care and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and support radiology staff to ensure smooth daily operations and workflow efficiency.
• Review documentation and coding for accuracy quality and compliance with regulations.
• Provide training mentorship and performance feedback to team members.
• Monitor key metrics and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
• Collaborate with radiologists billing and leadership to maintain quality and operational excellence.
Qualifications
• Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in health information management Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Certification: CPC CRC or preferred equivalent.
• Experience: 3–5 years in radiology coding QA or operations with leadership experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong leadership organization and communication; expertise in CPT ICD10-CM HCPCS; proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic Cerner Athena).
