Role: Software Tester

Location: Enfield (Onsite)

Salary: Up to 50000

An established engineering organisation operating in a highly technical environment is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on software that supports complex products and services used in demanding real-world applications.

The Role
You will be responsible for building and testing software across the development lifecycle with a strong focus on test and integration. The role involves producing and maintaining build and test documentation supporting improvements in software testability and acting as a technical point of contact for internal teams and external partners. Occasional travel including visits onboard vessels in the UK and overseas will be required.

Key Technical Skills & Experience

Minimum 1 years hands-on experience testing Windows-based PC software
Strong understanding of the Software Engineering Lifecycle particularly testing and integration
Experience writing test plans test specifications and test reports
Knowledge of scripting and/or programming languages to support test and build automation
Experience building software and software installers (desirable)
Good general IT skills including proficiency with MS Office
Background within a technical or engineering-led environment

Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders
A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Willing and able to travel occasionally as required
