Salary - Salary Plan 360000.00 CNY AnnualWe are looking for an Engagement Specialist to join us at the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The Engagement Specialist will work with the China Engagement & Programme Manager on designing a powerful and sustainable engagement programme and delivering against an influential and meaningful relationship with the Chinese chemistry community. Remit of engagement includes but not limits to activities with members prominent researchers students and industry. They will also collaborate closely with colleagues in Publishing Marketing Sales Membership and Science teams in China and the UK.
Main duties of the role include:
Develop and implement engagement programmes supporting RSCs impact membership and publishing objectives
Explore and optimize engagement channels to serve both the general chemical community and membership community in China
Create a loyal and close RSC member community in China
Assist RSCs international membership strategy and be a key member of staff contributing to member programmes and its maintenance
Identify partnership and collaboration opportunities across academia and industries
Work as a pivotal part of the engagement team to develop and manage engagement programmes in China in particular in the areas of membership and engagement activities.
General Engagement
Develop a range of tailored programme for each community (by internal categories) and optimise our services & support locally
Expand and manage a pool of influential RSC Fellows and further enhance our relationship with established professors
Work as project lead for programmes engaging early career researchers
Manage projects efficiently including budgets timelines and outcome measures
Keep good communication and collaboration with China and UK colleagues from different teams to leverage various resources which can facilitate the design of effective engagement programmes
Membership
Contribute to membership strategy and be instrumental in the realization of that strategy
Develop and maintain membership programmes to make sure they are relevant and meaningful
Optimize member services and support locally for each membership category
Be the point of contact for day to day membership matters with UK
Networking and Partnership
Develop and maintain good relationships and excellent channels of communication with existing and potential key partners and customers
Identify new collaboration opportunities and partnerships across industry and academia
Other team work
Be an advocate of RSC values for external and internal
Undertake any other duties required for team targets
Be an important member of the local China team
Actively participate in cross team projects
