Job Summary
Overview
The Etch Technician will be qualified to set up operate and maintain equipment to perform etch and to interpret evaluate and document the results in accordance with procedures approved by a Level III. An Etch Technician shall also be familiar with the codes standards and other contractual documents utilized at Element. An Etch Technician shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations for the technique/method to which this role the Etch Technician will be responsible for providing reliable results while paying close attention to safety and project timelines.
Salary: $20- $25/hr DOE
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishing daily etch rates using the weight loss method.
Masking Parts
Racking Parts
General knowledge of all chemical processes performed at EMT
Tank Maintenance / Make up.
Ability to accurately analyze and interpret test data with the ability to report the test results in a clear and well written manner
Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working condition
Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not supervise staff; reports to a department supervisor.

Qualifications

Vision Requirements - Specific vision abilities required include close vision depth perception normal color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Impairments of vision are acceptable if corrected to acceptable levels with appropriate devices (glasses).
Education and/or Experience
High school graduate
Etching metal plating experience a plus
Technician must successfully pass certification exam within the first (6) months in his/her position as required by NADCAP checklist.
Familiar with industry codes and standards a plus but willing to train.
