Position Responsibilities:

Skills Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma. An associates degree or equivalent experience in a technical field is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Have familiarity with common office computer software such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word.
• Will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings and documents such as blueprints bills of material and production routings.
• Ability to use micrometers calipers and visual measuring equipment such as optical comparators microscopes or Micro-Vu optical measuring equipment. CMM experience is highly desired.
• Must demonstrate understanding of basic math skills. An understanding of manufacturing statistics is preferred.
• Ability in calibrations techniques for inspection gages or demonstrate the aptitude in learning to perform this function within the company including the maintenance of the gage calibration software database.
• Understanding of Quality Standard such as ISO 9001 or similar principles.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts practices and procedures that pertain to a Quality Assurance Lab.
• Able to create instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing: Tasks are performed in a production and office setting.
• Lifting: Occasional lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 35 lbs.
• Walking: Moderate walking of distances up to 1 mile around the facility.
• Carrying: Moderate carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
• Pushing: Moderate use of a cart to move push or move parts to a moderate distance.
• Pulling: Moderate use of cart to pull or move parts to a moderate distance.
• Bending: Occasional bending and crouching required to perform a variety of tasks.
• Reaching: Occasional full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees to reach for items.
• Environment: Working environment is that of a manufacturing company including noise from forklift compressed air CNC machining and automation equipment.
