Job Summary

Job Requirements:

4-year college degree required

3-7 years underwriting experience

Solid Writing and Communication Skills

Salary range: $105000 - 160000

Compensation:

The annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations including but not limited to complexity location and scope of the role along with experience skills education training and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied Worlds comprehensive total reward package which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.

The dynamic state of the D&O Insurance market requires drive a high acumen for success and flexibility to changing conditions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for underwriting a complex book of business for helping to manage the growth of the overall portfolio and for marketing to broker-partners and servicing of existing and potential clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct financial and business analysis of client-companies and meet with C-suite executives to discuss operating and future performance

Negotiate coverage and layer participation for large Directors and Officers Liability insurance programs on publicly-tradedcompanies including IPOs SPACs and M&A transactions

Assist in managing a renewal book of business while driving new business production growth

Maintain relationships with broker partners while working to expand production sources regionally

Work with Northwestern Region leads on regional budgeting and business development

Engage with the Claims and Actuarial Legal and Marketing departments on an as-needed basis

Participate in internal projects to improve business processes regionally and countrywide

Maintain compliance with all internal administrative and underwriting guidelines systems and procedures
