Job Summary
Job Title: BMS Operator (Building Management System)
Job Summary
The BMS Operator is responsible for monitoring operating and maintaining Building Management Systems to ensure efficient operation of HVAC electrical plumbing and related building services. The role focuses on system monitoring alarm handling reporting and coordination with maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted building operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor BMS systems including HVAC chillers AHUs FCUs lighting pumps and alarms.
Respond to BMS alerts and alarms and coordinate corrective actions.
Operate BMS software for real-time monitoring and control of building services.
Maintain daily logs trend reports and operational records.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for fault rectification and preventive maintenance.
Ensure optimal energy usage and system efficiency.
Follow safety procedures and company SOPs at all times.
Requirements
Systems & Platforms
Siemens / Honeywell / Schneider / Johnson Controls (any or similar)
Protocols: BACnet Mod-bus (basic knowledge preferred)
Qualifications
Diploma / ITI in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
BMS certification is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 25 years of experience as a BMS Operator or BMS Technician.
Experience in commercial buildings hospitals malls or industrial facilities preferred.
GCC experience is an advantage.
Skills
Good understanding of HVAC and building systems.
Ability to monitor report and escalate technical issues.
Basic troubleshooting and coordination skills.
Good communication and reporting skills.
