Job Summary

This position is exclusively & solely with Seva Enterprise LLP and is based at our Ajmer location. The role requires full-time physical presence at our Ajmer office and does not offer any work-from-home or remote options.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Analyst with an academic background in Law (LLB LLM) . The role involves legal research statutory analysis and end-to-end support in indirect tax compliance payroll-related legal processes and corporate dissolution matters for U.S. & India based clients.

This position is ideal for law graduates who are interested in international taxation compliance and corporate law exposure in a professional services environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct sales tax nexus studies to identify U.S. states where sales tax obligations arise
Analyse applicable state laws and determine sales tax registration requirements
Handle sales tax registrations and periodic filings once nexus is established
Support and manage U.S. payroll compliance including:

Payroll-related registrations
Review and preparation of offer letters from a compliance perspective
Payroll processing coordination and statutory filings

Assist clients with business dissolution processes ensuring:

All post-compliance obligations are completed
Statutory filings and legal requirements are verified before dissolution

Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with applicable U.S. laws
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) mandatory
Masters degree in Law (LLM) preferred
Strong understanding of statutory interpretation and legal compliance
Ability to research analyse and apply laws and regulations
Good written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple compliance timelines

Required Skills:

CA / CA Inter Excellent computer skills (MS Office in particular). Organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude.
