Get in the Game: Dive Into the Role
To coordinate and ensure the logistics operation and transportation companies optimal performance for Andean Region that offers their services directly to our company. To verify that the operator selects the best alternative for logistics management achieving efficient processes both in time and cost.
Your Mission: What You Will Do
- To follow up the logistics operator lead time fulfillment in imports operations and assure the service level for CP Andean.
- To ensure the logistics operator gets the best negotiation for CP Andean with the shipping companies (drop-off free days no deposit containers no advanced payment for delays automatic Billing document release).
- Responsible of the standard logistics cost of import and export (for SAP y prices transmission) for Andean Region by updating the logistics condition in SAP and the logistics management administration of imports and exports in accordance with the negotiated rates:
- To review and approve the extra costs (no standard costs) in imports and exports.
- Monthly extra costs report by plant and cause.
- To monitor requisitions creation for no standard costs.
- Ensure that Global BIDs include the specific operational needs of the Andean Region (Free days specific drop-off points billing flexibility).
- Local Conditions
- Rates
- Service Level
- Shipping lines
- Control & Approval: Manage the logistics budget for ICO in the region. Responsible for the formal validation approval and reduction of extra-costs (demurrages detentions urgent freights) ensuring every deviation has a root-cause analysis and an action plan also Lead strategies to maximize container and truck fill rates directly impacting the reduction of the cost per unit moved.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Develop and monitor high-level dashboards/ automated analytics to track carrier performance transit times and logistics spend (extracost trends).
- To review with procurement area the logistics strategy definition and negotiation of each material and give support and intern advice in transportation topics.
Must-Haves for Success: Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in international business or related.
- Specialization or experience in International Logistics.
- 2 years of experience in logistics supply chain or related.
- Advanced Excel or Sheets.
- Data management and analytics.
- Intermediate English.
