As a Safety & Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist you will oversee the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS). You will lead investigations conduct audits and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards (EASA/ISO) while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Lead the safety reporting scheme conduct occurrence investigations identify hazards and manage risk mitigation plans.
- Auditing & Compliance: Perform internal supplier and regional quality audits to ensure regulatory and customer standards are met.
- Reporting & Strategy: Provide safety performance reports to the Safety Review Board and manage organizational metrics.
- Training: Develop and deliver safety and QA training programs; use feedback from maintenance incidents to improve recurrent training.
- Operational Support: Spearhead line reject meetings conduct engineering investigations and liaise with regulators and customers on quality issues.
Responsibilities
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Education:Bachelors degree (Engineering preferred).
- Certification:EASA-recognized SMS training and ISO Lead Auditor certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in the aviation industry.
- At least 1 year of direct SMS management experience.
- Strong background in Quality Systems or Engineering.
- Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Access) and data management.
- Soft Skills:Proven leadership in driving corrective actions excellent communication for training/stakeholder management and a team-player mindset.
- Continuous Improvement:Proficiency in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Six Sigma tools
