This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers food service customers and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry beef egg alternative protein salt oils starches sweeteners cocoa and chocolate.
The Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Technician (12 month term) will provide quality assurance and food safety technical support through testing and auditing process documentation and data collection and this role you will collaborate to identify quality assurance issues and analyze data to uncover risks and support knowledge transfer.
Conduct inspections of finished products or raw materials pre-operational inspections to identify trends in defects or errors and support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
Conduct documentation review of hazard analysis food safety and quality documents.
Assists in audits and shelf life projects through testing preparing reports and final summaries.
Handle moderately complex clerical administrative technical or customer support issues under general supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Working with the sanitation team to prepare the production rooms for startup to ensure that the sanitation requirements have been met.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required
High school diploma secondary education level or equivalent
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Able to work on cold environment and spend long hours walking and standing
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred
Bachelors degree completed or in progress College diploma or certification in Food Science
Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
Knowledge of meat processing sanitation and good manufacturing practices
Experience in Food safety HACCP and regulatory and third-party requirements
