About the Role
A premier luxury resort and marina in the Bahamas is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their remote finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage end-to-end accounting operations for a high-end hospitality business while working from anywhere in the world.
This role is full-time (40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling and potential for growth into a more senior finance position. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date and supporting month-end close and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger and all transaction postings
- Perform bank credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain clean and organized financial records
- Prepare trial balances and post journal adjustments as needed
- Manage prepaid schedules and recurring journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare internal financial reports for management review
- Collaborate closely with internal finance staff and cross-functional teams
- Assist with audits reporting and compliance as required
- Continuously identify process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Desktop (or similar accounting software)
- Familiarity with hospitality-focused accounting platforms such as CloudBeds preferred
- Accounting degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills
- Fluent in English for internal communication (non-client-facing)
- Ability to work independently across time zones and manage priorities
- Comfortable navigating dynamic priorities tight deadlines and month-end close cycles
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
