Mulgrave School is seeking an exceptional MYP Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant Upper School team. About Us

Mulgrave School is an independent co-educational IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Grades 610 and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 1112. While most students pursue the DP approximately 20% follow an enriched graduation pathway that blends IB and other courses.

Our Upper School (Grades 612) is a dynamic fast-paced and highly collaborative professional community where innovation is encouraged and student learning and well-being guide everything we do. Teachers know their students well both inside and outside the classroom and work collectively to ensure every student feels challenged supported and truly known.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach MYP Mathematics across a range of grade levels (Grades 610)
  • Collaborate on curriculum planning and programme development as part of subject teams
  • Inspire and challenge students to achieve outstanding outcomes in mathematics
  • Serve as a Homeroom Advisor for approximately 12 Middle School students
  • Support students future pathways including writing post-secondary reference letters
  • Contribute to co-curricular programmes (clubs athletics coaching etc.)
  • Participate in outdoor education and experiential learning opportunities
  • Promote student well-being while fostering curiosity resilience and a love of learning

Required Qualifications

  • Canadian residency and legal entitlement to work in Canada
  • British Columbia Teacher Certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date
  • Bachelors Degree (minimum)
  • Ability to teach MYP Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years experience teaching secondary mathematics
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an age-appropriate First Aid Certificate

  • Knowledge and understanding of the BC Curriculum
  • Experience differentiating and personalizing learning
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with students beyond the classroom
  • Strong collaboration organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing meaningfully to a team

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidates qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
