Job Summary

Senior Business Analyst

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst drives enhancements to business systems ensuring solutions align with business requirements operational strategies and organizational plans.

  • Lead the collection analysis and reporting of complaints data to support evidence-based decision-making and strategic improvements to complaints management across the Department of Education.
  • Lead the maintenance and enhancement of data management practices to ensure accurate compliant data collection processing quality control documentation storage and retrieval in line with enterprise data policies.
  • Build and manage key stakeholder relationships through effective communication and issue resolution to ensure engagement and delivery of outcomes.

The Professional and Ethical Standards directorate (PES) leads activities to support the effective resolution of complaints from employees about workplace issues (staff complaints) and complaints from parents carers students and community members (community complaints).

About you

As the Senior Business Analyst you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to coordinate the identification development and delivery of customised systems by actively engaging system users to successfully implement new capabilities
  • Proven Experience in driving the collection and analysis of information to develop viable recommendations for service and system improvements aligned with organisational strategy business objectives and user needs.
  • Leadership in designing and delivering capability uplift training and providing expert advice and technical support to ensure effective use of salesforce CRM systems across corporate and educational setting within the Department of Education.
  • Analytical skills in undertaking data analysis to inform the preparation of briefings advice reports and other documentation
  • Ability to lead and develop team capability in compliant data analysis to support delivery of the teams work plan and maximise overall team performance
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
