About the Role:
Nepean Longwall is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our night shift team. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting our underground longwall operations. You will lead a small team of tradespeople ensuring maintenance repairs and fabrication are completed safely efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of boilermakers on night shift operations.
Carry out maintenance repairs and fabrication of longwall equipment.
Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with supervisors to schedule and prioritise tasks.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical guidance.
Maintain accurate work records and reports.
Requirements:
Trade-qualified Boilermaker with extensive underground/longwall experience.
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of WHS and underground mining safety practices.
Ability to work night shift reliably.
High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and team management skills.
