Job Summary

We have an exciting role on offer within our Childrens Services as a Residential Support Worker.

Were looking for a Childrens Residential Support Worker to join our ever-growing team in a 4 bedroomed Childrens Home for children who have experienced trauma.

Youll be a role model and mentor and play a key part in the support system for children who are unable to remain with families. Youll play a vital role in supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential in all areas of their life also for them to have aspiration for their own future to enable them to engage positively in the community.

Well look to you to:

Advocate on behalf of children also be positive role model.

Think creatively about and contribute to effective care planning.

Provide appropriate therapeutic relationships with the children.

Provide a safe nurturing and homely environment for children to feel safe and secured to enable them to thrive.

Undertaken appropriate training and development to meet the needs of the children also to be compliant with legalisations.

Someone who can believe in the untapped potential of these children when others have given up. Drawing on your life experiences you can provide valuable guidance and support to help them thrive. Youll also need:

Staff will work towards or hold the recognised NVQ 4 or QCF diploma in working with children and young people in Residential care or equivalent relevant Childrens Residential work.

Desire to undertake further education / training.

A valid and full UK driving licence.

The legal right to live and work in the UK.

You will be assigned to a name home but you may be required to work in other homes.
