International Settlements Clerk
We are working with a well-established international financial services organization to recruit an International Settlements Clerk for their growing operations. The organization operates across multiple global markets and is recognized for its strong operational discipline collaborative culture and commitment to accuracy and risk control.
As an International Settlements Clerk you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of settlements related to fixed income and equity transactions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counterparts to support smooth settlement processes across global markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily monitoring of trade matching and timely settlement of transactions across international markets.
- Investigating and resolving unmatched and failed trades through liaison with internal trading desks and external clients.
- Escalating aged or high-risk settlement issues in line with established procedures.
- Supporting settlements across Euroclear and domestic markets for bonds and equities.
- Ensuring adherence to operational controls risk frameworks and internal procedures.
- Managing high volumes of transactions while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in settlements operations or a related financial services role.
- A strong academic background with good numerical and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
- A solid understanding of settlement processes across international markets.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and general familiarity with financial systems and trade capture platforms.
- A strong risk and control mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritize workload meet deadlines and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
