Junior Data Engineer

Were hiring a Junior Data Engineer who takes data quality seriously and writes clean performant SQL with confidence. You are comfortable validating results spotting logical errors and building pipelines that analysts and modelers can depend on.

This is a practical role for an early-career engineer ready to apply sound fundamentals learn best practices from senior mentors and take ownership of delivering high-quality data. Youll work hands-on with SQL Python and AWS-based data systems to help design new data assets. You will be collaborative working with data analysts data scientists and model developers to ensure that new datasets are accurate and aligned with analytical and machine learning requirements. You will report to the data science manager.

Responsibilities:

• Write SQL in Redshift and PostgreSQL to transform and validate data for reporting and modeling use cases.
• Collaborate with analysts and modelers to understand requirements shape datasets and ensure outputs meet business and technical needs.
• Develop ETL workflows in Python applying engineering principles such as modularity reusability and exception handling.
• Validate data accuracy and identify bugs anomalies and performance issues before release.
• Help design and implement data models that support analytical and machine learning workloads.
• Participate in code reviews documentation and Git-based version control workflows (branching merging and pull requests).
• Learn and apply data reliability practices from source-to-target validation to ongoing monitoring.
• Improve through mentorship hands-on experience to AWS-based data tools and architectures.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in data engineering analytics engineering or software development for data-driven applications.
• SQL skills able to write complex joins aggregation and window functions analyzing execution plans and debugging.
• Proficiency in Python for building applications or maintainable data workflows.
• Understanding of data modeling normalization and schema design.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3 Glue Lambda or EC2.
• Experience validating and reconcile data issues.
• Working knowledge of Git and structured version control practices.
• Team-oriented attitude.
