- Maintain expected levels of service and cleanliness in Hotel and F&B divisions.
- Establish and maintain guest service standards in all respective departments approved by general management.
- Remain abreast of industry trends and design programs to encourage high level of team member performance.
- Maintain and update hotel systems and procedures to maintain the highest performance levels.
- Develop and monitor hotel room rates.
- Complete hotel room occupancy projections.
- Provide key communication link between critical departments i.e. Hotel Marketing Sales Food & Beverage and Gaming.
- Provide senior management with recommendations for capital improvements as well as routine maintenance requests.
- Confer with department heads to discuss and formulate plans for servicing business.
- Oversee budgetary process for respective departments.
- Work with the Sales department to best services group sales programs/packages.
- Analyze and recognize deficiencies or problem areas and provide corrective material financial and personnel resources to accomplish desired results.
- Assist in developing menus and recipes with the Executive Chef and corporate operations.
- May be required to assist with related duties at other affiliate properties at managements discretion. Travel modes and accommodations for site visits are determined by management.
- Responsible for regulating and overseeing departmental safety.
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs.
- Maintain a productive relationship with Corporate Food and Beverage operations.
- Maintain hotel and food and beverage training programs for new hires as well as periodic refresher training for all departmental Team Members.
- Develop implement and manage a maintenance program and negotiate maintenance contracts for the property the grounds and all of the equipment in compliance with corporate/franchise standards and local state and national codes to ensure safety convenience and satisfaction of all guests and employees and to protect the assets and maintain the property in first class condition.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls and the PA Gaming Control Board. Authorized to extend complimentary services in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
Qualifications :
- College degree or university program certificate or five to eight years of progressive management experience in a hospitality environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Excellent verbal communication required with sound administrative skills.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Comprehensive knowledge in hotel and food & beverage management and financial reporting.
- Must qualify for and maintain all regulatory licenses including licensure required by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Must have thorough knowledge of the approved Responsible Gaming Program.
