Job Summary
RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our Shop Team As our Automotive Mechanic. You will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team of technicians working to maintain all our medium and heavy-duty construction equipment throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Service diagnose and repair heavy and services on light/med duty trucks SUVs and light trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
- Use related instruments hand and power tools secondary equipment and computer systems.
- Accurately record repairs performed and time taken.
- Continuously review potential hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to high standards.
- Conduct vehicle and trailer inspections.
- Train and mentor junior apprentices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be a Red Seal Journeyman in the Heavy-Duty or Automotive Technician trade.
- Previous experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset.
- Class 5 license required; Class 1A or 3A license preferred.
- Welding experience is an asset
- preference given to those able to perform safety certs.
Requirements:
- This position typically involves working in a garage or shop setting with exposure to various weather conditions and noise levels.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various environments including outdoors and in confined spaces.
- Must have your own tools
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy-duty mechanic trade.
- Strong communication skills.
