About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to join our Employer Experience team. This role will report to our Director Engineering. You will be leading our client-facing web and backend development this role you will collaborate closely with a talented product and design team to drive the development of both client and internal-facing applications in a fast-paced environment.
Where you will work:
This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do:
- Provide technical oversight and drive new features with a focus on Garners strategic mission
- Build a high-performance team by mentoring providing feedback and hiring
- Continuously strive for quality while maintaining speed of delivery
- Collaborate across disciplines by identifying bottlenecks and risks proposing mitigation and communicating tradeoffs
- Protect our users privacy and security through best practices
The ideal candidate has:
- 6 years of hands-on engineering experience with a track record of translating ambiguous business requirements into scalable solutions and new product features
- 2 years of managing engineering teams with a proven ability to inspire motivate mentor and retain top engineering talent
- Familiarity with web application development API design and cloud infrastructure like AWS
- Strong sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving mindset
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
- A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
- A desire to be a part of a high-performing mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency a strong sense of individual accountability and a commitment to authentic feedback

Compensation Transparency:
The target salary range for this position is $250000 - $275000.
