Ford Motor Credit Company (FMCC) is the Financial Services arm of Ford Motor Company and is headquartered in Dearborn Michigan. Ford Credit Europe (FCE) is part of the Ford Motor Credit Company and headquartered in Dunton UK. Ford Credits business consists of financing Ford and Lincoln vehicles and services for Ford and Lincoln dealers commercial customers and consumer/retail customers. Its business activities are concentrated in financing and leasing of automobile and software services.

Ford Credit competes based on service and financing rate programs including those sponsored by Ford. A key foundation of its service is providing broad and consistent purchasing policies for retail installment sale and lease contracts and consistent support for dealer financing requirements across economic cycles. These policies have helped Ford Credit build strong relationships with Fords dealer network that enhance competitiveness. Ford Credit also provides commercial financing and lines of credit to dealerships selling Ford Motor Company products. Ford Credit also owns Lincoln Automotive Financial Services the arm that finances Lincoln vehicles.

In this position...

Ford Credit is looking for a Director of Product Management Core Modernization to lead the vision planning and implementation of its Core Platform modernization efforts. This multi-year initiative aims to update Ford Credits essential platforms such as originations receivables and servicing. The program encompasses all customer segments including commercial consumers and internal client groups like Ford Motor Company.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

As Director of Product Management Core Modernization you will lead a team comprised of more than 30 Product Managers and Analysts and work in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering the program office business clients internal and external partners within a complex matrixed program organization.

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Drive Modernization Strategy:Lead the vision and roadmap for Core Modernization transitioning legacy systems into scalable AI-driven architectures that align with enterprise goals.

  • Advance the Operating Model:Serve as a change agent to evolve the Product Operating Model ensuring the organization is structured for rapid iterative delivery using latest AI capabilities.

  • Cultivate Talent:Build and mentor a high-performing team through active coaching succession planning and a culture of collaborative innovation.

Execution & Delivery

  • Orchestrate Transformation:Direct the end-to-end execution of large-scale programs maintaining accountability for milestones budgets and all key program metrics.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership:Collaborate with Engineering UX and Program teams to deliver user-centric internal capabilities that drive agent productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Prioritization:Establish frameworks to gauge product success using data and stakeholder feedback to prioritize grow and run business efforts effectively.

Influence & Risk Management

  • Navigate Corporate Complexity:Unlock high-level roadblocks and align dependencies across global mission portfolios by building influential partnerships with senior leadership.

  • Mitigate Systemic Risk:Proactively identify and resolve project risks and failures ensuring transparent communication and alignment across global stakeholders and vendors.

  • Scale Global Solutions:Coordinate cross-functional efforts to scale product capabilities across international markets while maintaining core platform integrity.



Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree or combination of experience and education

  • 12 years of Product Management experience

  • 6 years of experience hiring managing and developing both individual contributors and leaders

  • Experience engaging at an executive level internally with cross-functional groups

  • Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience

  • Experience presenting to senior executive audiences.

  • Experience working in a matrixed team structure and influencing across product areas

  • Proven leader in strategic product management and large-scale program delivery driving innovation from development through deployment.

  • Extensive experience implementing and scaling AI solutions that enhance customer and agent experiences and deliver measurable value.

  • Skilled in communicating a compelling vision inspiring collaboration and creativity among cross-functional matrixed teams.

  • Expert at identifying opportunities for operational excellence and influencing without direct authority.

  • Holds a Masters MBA PhD or equivalent experience.
