You will be comfortable interpreting technical instructions documents and standards and apply this understanding with attention to detail. You will need to demonstrate good manual dexterity and take pride in producing accurate high-quality work. With a professional and courteous telephone manner you will have the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues and customers.
Required skills and experience:
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Jobsheet Technician is responsible for ensuring all tasks assigned by the Jobsheet Supervisor are completed efficiently accurately and in line with customer requirements company procedures and accreditation standards.
Key activities:
- Ensure all work complies with customer requirements company procedures and relevant accreditation standards
- Ensure the accuracy of work carried out and any advice provided to clients
- Provide regular feedback to the Team Leader regarding resource needs client issues and workflow challenges
- Communicate clearly concisely and professionally with clients and colleagues
- Provide general technical advice to clients and internal teams as required
- Use the current LIMS system to support test selection and produce worksheets/jobsheets
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the role
- Handle outbound and return client correspondence via telephone and email regarding production samples and queries
- Manage technical customer queries related to testing specifications and retailer requirements
- Validate client-submitted data and samples against accredited and/or retailer requirements for:
- Routine samples
- Non-routine samples
- Samples with advanced interpretational requirements (e.g. nursery products MOD).
- Select appropriate tests perform final checks and issue reports based on client-supplied information
- Provide advice to clients regarding report content and technical requirements
- Demonstrate advanced use of the LIMS system to support jobsheet creation and test selection
- Support project work as required
- Perform the collating function when necessary
