About the Role
The Science Technician will provide technical and practical support to facilitate Science teaching across all key stages. You will ensure laboratories are safe well-prepared and fully equipped for practical lessons and experiments.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing materials and equipment for lessons and experiments
Maintaining laboratory apparatus and stock
Supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
Ensuring health and safety compliance in laboratories
Managing chemical inventories and ordering supplies
Assisting with displays science fairs and faculty events
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a similar role
Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and equipment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Professional proactive and reliable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in a school or academy setting is desirable but not essential.
