About the role
The Project Delivery Manager is a key member of the Enterprise Programme Delivery team part of the Performance Transformation and Technical Delivery function within Haleons Digital & Technology organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to support our Wired for Excellence delivery. The role reports to the Head of Enterprise Programme Delivery and Deal Execution.
The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for organising and governing large complex strategic programmes that deliver outcomes across multiple teams and stakeholders. The role is central to ensuring that enterprise initiatives are delivered efficiently and to a high standard working collaboratively with product and platform teams strategic vendors and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Define and Implement Governance Structures:
Independently establish governance frameworks for large complex Digital & Tech programs. Ensure effective management of performance delivery and risks providing clear oversight and direction.
Manage Risks and Issues:
Ensure all risks and issues are documented with clear action mitigation and contingency plans. Your expertise in Digital & Tech projects will ensure adherence to agreed disciplines guidelines and best practices.
Oversee Budget Management:
Independently manage budgets using consistent processes and tools. Drive cost management and compliance ensuring budgets are managed agreed upon and reported effectively for large-scale Digital & Tech projects.
Deliver Programs Successfully:
Lead the delivery of Enterprise Digital & Tech programs on time within budget and to quality standards. Ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations particularly managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
Develop Talent and Project Management Capabilities:
Contribute to the growth of talent and project management skills across Digital & Tech. Mentor and coach other project managers as needed fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate to Improve Program Methodology:
Work collaboratively to enhance program methodologies including tools sourcing processes and quality assurance ensuring they meet the evolving needs of Digital & Tech projects.
Support Leadership in Performance Development:
Assist the Head of Enterprise Programme Delivery and Deal Execution in performance development processes. Provide feedback and help define development objectives contributing to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of digital and technology landscapes including familiarity with relevant tools platforms and methodologies used in Digital & Tech projects.
Leadership and Team Management:
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams fostering collaboration and driving project success.
Change Management:
Experience in managing change within large organizations including the ability to adapt strategies to evolving project needs and environments.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills to assess project performance and implement effective solutions to complex challenges.
Agile and Lean Methodologies:
Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies enabling flexible and efficient project delivery.
Cultural Awareness:
Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments understanding and respecting different perspectives and practices.
Certification:
Relevant certifications such as PMP PRINCE2 or Agile certifications which demonstrate a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
