We are part of Dentsu Sports International a newly formed global sports network comprised of MKTG Sports Entertainment dentsu Sports Analytics and dentsu Sports.
A fantastic opportunity for an established Manager to join MKTG Sports & Entertainment and work on major sports and entertainment sponsorship with a primary focus on global Formula 1 (F1) hospitality supporting event strategy and all aspects of planning and successful execution for select Fortune 500 clients on our roster. This is an amazingly diverse position and you will play an important role on a team that works with clients external partners and teammates to develop corporate hospitality across F1 on a global scale.
The Role:
As a Manager your role will see you work using your logistical knowledge to deliver against the clients brief working on behalf of a sponsor for Formula 1. You will be working as a key part of a wider project team and will be responsible for:
Planning and completing site surveys
Preparing and managing line-item budgets
Managing event branding collateral on-site materials
Serving as the primary liaison with the race team partner that the client sponsors
Manage myriad aspects of event planning including:
Interface with venues and suppliers
Hotel and venue research selection and contracting
At-track event logistics
Run of show development and programming and event scheduling
Guest experience (invitations communication gifting and transportation)
Event logistics (room layouts audio visual F&B decor and signage)
Budget development management and reconciliation
Conducting onsite management of corporate hospitality events with a primary focus on sports and entertainment-related events
Managing on-site vendors oversee contractors and enforce company and client policies during execution
Create client-ready event itineraries staffing plans and event recaps
Lead client conference calls meetings and design and prepare communications and presentations
Managing and communicating project status with account leads internal team and clients
Identify opportunities for business growth and recommend new strategies to clients and company
What you bring
You have in-depth knowledge of the event industry and Formula 1 as well as attention to detail and drive to manage and develop existing event programmes.
You take pride in your work thrive in managing projects and are comfortable with the fast-paced nature of live events.
You enjoy working as part of a close-knit team to deliver once in a lifetime experiences.
Proven experience in the event industry with prior agency experience a plus
Demonstrable experience in project management and client servicing excellence
A good understanding of the wider events landscape
An understanding of sport and working within sport/sponsorship.
Formula 1 experience
Superstar project management skills including MS Office suite
Experience in corporate hospitality management; able to both negotiate and manage suppliers including F&B creative signage audio visual transportation etc
A strategic and logical thinker who can provide counsel to our clients and suppliers in delivering best in class solutions
Experience managing and reconciling event budgets and finances; fiscally responsible with success overseeing large budgets and costs in detail
A team mentality contributing to high performing teams
Ability to travel frequently both weekdays and weekends
