About the Role
We are seeking casual On Road Supervisors to work across Melbournes CBD South East and Western suburbs supporting customers using public transport replacement services from Monday to Friday.
This role suits individuals who are attentive safety-aware and service-driven and who perform well in a high-activity environment.
As the initial point of contact during rail interruptions you will assist passengers in locating replacement services and help ensure a safe organised and positive customer journey.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Guide and support passengers during service interruptions ensuring safe direction to replacement bus services
- Deliver professional and courteous communication to customers assisting with any issues or enquiries
- Coordinate with transport personnel and bus operators to maintain efficient operations and prompt service delivery
- Oversee on-site safety and ensure all procedures are consistently adhered to
- Lead and support on-ground staff serving as a central point of contact throughout operations
- Accurately document incidents and operational activities in accordance with requirements
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced or operational environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of business acumen and decision-making under pressure
- The ability to manage time and priorities effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Hands-on knowledge of transport or traffic management (advantageous)
