About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to support and enhance legacy mainframe solutions. This role involves maintaining optimizing and modernizing mainframe systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient reliable and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage maintain and optimize mainframe computer systems to ensure consistent performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with IT teams to support business applications and provide technical expertise in mainframe technologies.

• Work with legacy applications to support digital transformation initiatives.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical support influencing solution design.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging mainframe technologies; actively contribute to knowledge-sharing mentoring and best practices within the team.

• Ensure adherence to coding standards best practices and security guidelines in development and maintenance activities.

• Analyze application performance and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization.

• Modernize legacy applications by integrating mainframe systems with other IT infrastructure components.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in mainframe programming languages and tools (e.g. COBOL JCL VSAM ISPF SDSF MQ CICS PL/I OPCE Assembler or equivalent).

• Experience with mainframe databases such as DB2 or IMS.

• Demonstrated experience in modernizing legacy mainframe environments using industry-standard tools and techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.

• Proficient in English.
