Job Title: Site Safety Officer Night Shift
Location: Denton TX (onsite)
Schedule: Night Shift Monday Sunday 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Duration: 6 months contract
Position Summary
The Site Safety Officer is the on-site authority for safety compliance hazard prevention and incident mitigation during night-shift operations. This role works directly with site leadership subcontractors and project teams to ensure adherence to OSHA and industry safety standards while promoting a proactive team-oriented safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce Client safety policies site rules and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site safety orientations for employees and subcontractors (English; Russian as needed).
- Lead hazard assessments Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Perform scheduled and unannounced safety audits.
- Document incidents near misses and unsafe conditions; support root cause analysis and investigations.
- Coordinate with Integration Services leadership on energized work and critical safety decisions.
- Verify compliance with PPE fall protection lockout/tagout confined space and other safety controls.
- Maintain safety documentation (SDSs inspection logs daily reports tracking tools).
- Ensure readiness of safety equipment (AEDs fire extinguishers eyewash stations first aid kits).
- Promote a safety-first culture grounded in accountability empathy and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 5 years of field safety experience in construction infrastructure telecom or electrical environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 & 1910; familiarity with ANSI and NFPA 70E.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (or ability to obtain pre-hire).
- OSHA 500 OSHA 510 or STSC certification (or ability to obtain pre-hire).
- Current First Aid / CPR / AED certification.
- Comfortable producing written reports and leading in-person safety discussions.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts and in active field conditions.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- CHST or other BCSP-recognized safety credential.
- Bilingual: English / Russian.
- Experience supporting multi-trade construction sites with multiple subcontractors.
- Familiarity with safety management software.
- Ability to conduct toolbox talks and safety training without reliance on digital tools.
