Job Summary
Job Title: Color Matcher

Job Type: Full-time Direct Hire
Job Description:
- This position requires candidates with at least 1 years minimum of water-based ink mixing/color matching experience.
- Shift Type: Candidates should be open to working Day Night Weekends and Rotating shifts
- Receive request from Art Dept* determine substrate OPV and which location (3 different number systems depending on location)
- Check database to see if matched previously print formula or formulate and check to X-rite Database (all matches must be under a DE of 1)
- If color not matched previously pull color from Pantone Live and match. If color match exists match to existing color match ( many of these are still old Sun formulas and need to be rematched)
- save sample for future reference
- once color is matched update formula database
- assign a new number if color never matched before
- enter in formula and LAB in the formula for reference
- roll out 3 sheets of new color on proper substrate for Art Dept and list PMS number and new formula number on rollouts
- prepare and send out rollouts to Art Dept as only have 3 days to receive match and return
- must send out formula databases to all locations once a month to update new formulations created for new jobs 372 matches in last 6 months requires FTE current employee has now been terminated after 6 months on STD.

- Experience toning inks
- Flexo printing experience
- Color formulation and matching experience
- Experience working with water-based inks
