Position Overview:
Were seeking a talented hands-on Proposal & Creative Marketing Manager to join our team in Sacramento. This full-time in-person role is perfect for a creative powerhouse who loves crafting winning proposals while driving brand storytelling across multiple channels. Youll own high-stakes sales proposals from concept to submission and lead vibrant SaaS marketing initiatives — including copywriting graphic design content creation social media and video production.
Reporting to our VP of Business Development and Marketing youll collaborate closely with the business development team to shape compelling narratives that close deals while also elevating NEXGENs brand through polished engaging and strategically aligned marketing materials. The ideal candidate is a versatile creative with exceptional writing and design skills strong project management instincts and a passion for translating technical value into persuasive audience-focused content. You thrive under deadlines enjoy switching between strategic big-picture work and pixel-perfect execution and take pride in materials that win business and build lasting brand impact.
This full-time role is based in our Sacramento CA office.
Responsibilities:
This role will work directly with the VP on creative marketing and proposal assignments that may include the following:
- Proposal Development & Design
- Own the full lifecycle of sales proposals — from kickoff and strategy sessions through design copywriting graphics and final submission-ready delivery
- Independently design and execute the proposals layout visual structure and overall aesthetic to ensure a professional cohesive and impactful presentation
- Create custom graphics charts infographics and visual elements that enhance the proposals messaging and storytelling
- Write and edit persuasive copy including executive summaries technical sections and response narratives tailored to client requirements and win themes
- Collaborate with the VP and the business development team to define scope messaging win themes and content direction
- Package final proposals for delivery including formatting as high-quality PDFs for digital submission or coordinating printing binding and physical mailing when required
- Ensure every proposal is visually stunning persuasively written on-brand accurate and submitted on time
- Creative Marketing & Content Production
- Write and produce compelling case studies customer success stories whitepapers and thought leadership content
- Develop and publish engaging blog posts that showcase NEXGENs expertise and value
- Manage social media strategy content calendar posting and audience engagement
- Create high-impact sales collateral brochures presentations promotional materials and campaign assets
- Design graphics infographics visual assets and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Photoshop Illustrator etc.)
- Support video production — from scripting and storyboarding to coordinating edits and delivering final assets
- Website Management & Content Refresh
- Oversee ongoing management and maintenance of the NEXGEN website to ensure it remains current accurate engaging and aligned with our brand and marketing goals
- Regularly refresh and update website copy product descriptions feature pages client testimonials and other key content to reflect the latest insights innovations (like NAMI AI advancements) and industry trends
- Coordinate content updates across sections such as the blog case studies resources and client success stories to keep the site dynamic and optimized for user experience and search visibility
- Collaborate on strategic enhancements to improve relevance drive traffic and support lead generation through fresh high-value content
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications English Graphic Design Journalism or a related creative/business field.
- 2 years of professional experience in creative marketing proposal management content creation or a similar role (SaaS/technology marketing experience strongly preferred).
- Outstanding copywriting skills with proven ability to write clear persuasive and audience-focused content under tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite — InDesign Photoshop Illustrator required; After Effects/Premiere a plus).
- Experience with video production/editing workflows and tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills — comfortable working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design branding and visual storytelling.
- Experience in the software technology asset management utilities or public works industries is a plus.
- Proactive self-motivated and passionate about creating work that drives results and makes an impact.
Compensation:
The compensation range for the annual base pay for this position is $75000 - $85000 dependent upon experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered that includes paid time off; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health insurance; and other supplemental benefits.
