Job Summary
Due to growing demand for our consultancy services we are seeking to recruit a Principal Consultant with database development database management process & data mapping and data analysis skillsets to join our specialist Turner & Townsend Technology consulting team. The role involves supporting a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions and we are seeking an individual with a strong track record of delivering data and analytics projects.
Additionally it is essential to sell solutions to clients explain and capture client requirements and facilitate workshops.
Key Responsibilities
Leading a project team consisting of analysts & consultants on a range of tasks including:
Develop project execution plans and lead end-to-end project delivery with Commission Directors
Lead client engagements to capture data analysis and modelling requirements
Identify and run different business and model scenarios
Develop end-to-end data processes and data models
Design data solutions in collaboration with clients and their IT teams
Build dashboards and visualisations using a variety of tools
Supporting clients use of model outputs for decision making
Test solutions and models against requirements
Conduct assurance checks of implemented solutions
Prepare written project communication materials including formal project progress and other reports
Prepare presentation and other materials for client pitches and business generation purposes
Qualifications :
This role will require good analytic and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations. Ability to programme in languages such as DAX Python VBA and SQL
Degree in either an analytic subject e.g. Maths Geography Engineering Economics etc- desirable or Construction (Civil Engineering)
Consulting and business analysis skills (e.g. MoSCoW method) to understand clients requirements
Experience in Agile delivery methodology
Experience in data warehousing and data modelling
Proficiency in data visualisation software such as Power BI and Tableau
Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting architecture
Strong understanding of dimensions measures metadata & schemas
