Inviting applications for the role of Manager - Network Engineer
We are seeking a skilled L2 network engineer with expertise in Cisco and Arista technologies complemented by a foundational understanding of network development operations (netdevops). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network infrastructure ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across all systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Management:
oConfigure maintain and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network devices to ensure optimal performance.
oMonitor network traffic and implement solutions to prevent bottlenecks and downtime.
oCollaborate with the IT team to design and deploy scalable network solutions.
oUnderstanding of SDWAN technologies and implementations of various vendors
oStrong understanding of WAN technologies and routing protocol with a strong focus on BGP.
Technical Support:
oProvide second-level support for network-related issues resolving complex problems efficiently.
oAssist in the development of troubleshooting procedures and documentation for network operations.
oWork closely with L1 support teams to escalate and resolve issues promptly.
Netdevops Integration:
oApply basic netdevops principles to automate network tasks and improve operational efficiency.
oParticipate in the development and deployment of network automation scripts using tools like Itential or Python.
oCollaborate with software development teams to integrate network solutions into broader IT projects.
Security and Compliance:
oImplement security protocols to protect network integrity and data privacy.
oEnsure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
oConduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Documentation and Reporting:
oMaintain accurate records of network configurations changes and performance metrics.
oPrepare reports on network status incidents and resolutions for management review.
oContribute to the creation of technical documentation for training and reference purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field.
Relevant years of experience as a network engineer with a focus on Cisco and Arista technologies.
Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco IOS and Arista EOS platforms.
Basic understanding of netdevops practices including automation tools like Ansible or Python.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex network issues.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE-A).
Experience with cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or LogicMonitor
Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address critical network issues.
The role is primarily office-based but may involve travel to other company locations for project implementation.
