The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Casual Project Manager to join NEPEAN Power based in our Mackay operations. This role is responsible for the end to end delivery of electrical manufacturing and installation projects ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed time cost quality and safety requirements. This casual engagement offers flexibility with longer term and permanent opportunities available for the right candidate.
What You Will Do
Plan and Deliver
- Manage day to day operational aspects of electrical projects
- Develop maintain and communicate clear project schedules across all phases
- Minimise project risk through proactive planning and control measures
- Ensure all project documentation is complete current and appropriately stored
Control Report and Govern
- Manage project budgets costs and revenue forecasting
- Track and report labour hours and expenses weekly
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely invoicing
- Ensure project legal and contractual documentation is completed and signed
- Implement contingency plans where project control is at risk
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients
- Facilitate effective team and client meetings
- Communicate progress risks milestones and expectations clearly
- Build strong client relationships and continually seek opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
- Develop a deep understanding of each clients business and objectives
Quality Safety and Improvement
- Ensure projects meet internal and client expectations for quality budget and delivery timelines
- Evaluate key project deliverables to ensure traceability compliance and client acceptance
- Work safely in accordance with WHS requirements SWMS and risk assessments
- Identify and implement process improvements and streamlined administrative practices
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience managing electrical or industrial projects
- Minimum three years experience in a Project Manager capacity
- Project Management qualification or equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver on time and on budget
- High level communication stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills
- Experience using ERP systems with Pronto highly regarded
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office project scheduling software and SharePoint
- Strong attention to detail judgement and decision making capability
