What you will be doing in this role
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (CCL) youll be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will provide close observation pre- and post-procedure ensuring patients are well-informed comfortable and at ease throughout their journey. Adhering to hospital policies and protocols youll manage drug administration infection control and ensure patient safety. Youll work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager contributing to a supportive collaborative environment while maintaining a high standard of professional and clinical expertise. This role requires a rotating roster providing flexibility across a variety of shifts.
We have three busy cardiac catherisation labs where we perform a wide range of procedures including angiography and stenting permanent pacemaker and ICD insertion electrophysiology studies and ablation plus a busy structural heart programme involving TAVI mitraclips triclips LAA ASD and PFO closures.
Youll have the opportunity to continue your professional development through ongoing education and quality management projects staying up to date with the latest trends in cardiac addition to providing excellent patient care youll assist in the management of ward equipment and resources maintaining safety standards and ensuring patient records meet legal and medical standards. As part of a dedicated team youll also support junior team members promote confidentiality and uphold hospital protocols contributing to an environment that values safety professionalism and patient-centred care.
