About the role

Are you a project management professional with a passion for driving transformation We are seeking a dynamic Project Transformation Lead to join our newly developed team where you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing our Transformation this position you will leverage your expertise in project management and in-depth knowledge of Council systems to ensure that all project activities are aligned with our strategic goals. You will be responsible for monitoring project progress making day-to-day decisions and identifying opportunities to optimise processes and enhance efficiency. Your leadership will be instrumental in keeping the program on track ensuring its successful completion within established timelines and budgets.

Reporting to the Program Director Transformation you will also manage stakeholder relationships facilitating clear communication and resolving conflicts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You will assist in budget management risk assessment and governance processes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies. Additionally you will lead cross-functional teams promote a culture of continuous improvement and provide critical reports to senior leadership.

Skills and experience require to perform the role

  • A tertiary qualification in project management or related field with subsequent relevant experience managing complex projects/programs or through lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience
  • Demonstrated successful experience with multi-disciplinary project management and complex stakeholders
  • Experience in leading a transformation program within local government
  • Experience in Merri-bek or similar Council
  • Broad understanding of Council processes and systems
  • Expertise in financial control and procurement process
