A role with Process Operations means a big opportunity to leverage operational experience process design and insights to create strategies that fuel processes like inventory replenishment setting product signing pricing and backroom organization keeping stores in stock to drive guest engagement by ensuring they find what they are looking for (and more).
Labor Engineering at Target Corporation
TheLabor model is critical to building the Stores payroll plan and scheduling store labor to deliver the right Guest experience Targets salesgoalsand Targets strategic objectives.The labor model also allows Target to achieve expense goals by measuring and driving efficiencies in Store processes.You will use the labor model to forecast futureworkloadto prioritizesequenceand manage the capacity of Stores teams.The labor model also acts as the key input into a staffing model thatdeterminestheoptimalstaffing level for each store for the purpose of stabilizing team members hours increasing team members average hours and in turn increasing the productivity of the Stores team.
As a SeniorLabor Engineer in Store Operations you will:
Be responsible forbuilding andmaintainingthe Stores operational standards to ensure that Targetis able toachieve various strategic outcomes
Support designingtestingand implementingoptimalprocess solutions in stores by applying engineered standards toidentifythe most desirable outcome
Use and own engineered operational standards to forecast future workload prioritizesequenceand manage the capacity of Stores teams
Function as a stakeholder on cross-functional project teams to deliver key strategic initiatives.
Identifyareas for productivity and process improvement through analysis and modeling
Participate in events to test and measure process improvements from implemented changes
Form strong partnerships within the Labor Engineering team Store OperationsHRand Stores Finance

About you:
4 yearcollege degree or equivalent experience
2 - 5 years of experience in an operational environment; retail or supply chain experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to convey complex analysis to a wide range of stakeholders
Strong analytical critical thinking andproblem-solvingskills
Experienceleveragingdata analysis techniques and tools to inform business decisions
Demonstrated ability to form relationships influencepartnersand peers
Manage and plan projects effectively
Manage and adjust multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
Identifydefineand resolve ambiguous problems
Resolveproblems that are without clear precedent
