Position Overview:
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a sharp numbers-driven MRP and Purchasing Specialist to take full ownership of purchasing operations. This is a full-time in-office position for someone who gets real satisfaction from finding ways to cut costs maximize efficiency and stretch every dollar further.
Youll manage raw material planning using MRP systems and handle all aspects of procurementnegotiating prices managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
Run and maintain MRP systems to forecast demand track inventory and generate purchase orders
Handle purchasing of all materials and packaging for production
Negotiate pricing and payment terms with vendors to reduce costs
Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to avoid overstock/shortages
Collaborate with production and finance to ensure materials align with schedules and budgets
Analyze supplier performance and cost trends regularly
Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain
The Ideal Candidate:
2 years of experience in buying/purchasing ideally in a manufacturing environment
Experience with MRP or ERP systems is strongly preferred
A natural cost-saveryou enjoy the game of stretching budgets and negotiating better deals
Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-volume production setting
Detail-oriented analytical and organized with strong Excel and data skills
Someone with high ownership mentalityyoure accountable responsive and proactive
