About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6900 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 1-4 two middle schools for grades 5-8 and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Wrestling Coordinator to lead and develop our STMA Community Education Wrestling program.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating wrestling camp programming training young athletes of varying skill levels and developing effective practice plans. Key duties include working with Community Education to plan wrestling camps in each of our three class seasons assisting in the recruiting of assistant wrestling coaches teaching wrestling techniquesandensuring a safe and motivating environment. Strong leadership communication skills and apassion for mentoring athletes are essential. Previous coaching experience and a deep understanding of the sport are required.
Age ranges: Age ranges of students vary throughout the year and depending on the camps that are ran. Ages can range from PK/K through grade 8.
Start date: Camp planning will begin as soon as possible. Camps will begin as soon as June 8th.
Schedule: Schedule varies by season. Schedule is set by coordinator and Community Education before each season depending on the camps the coordinator would like to run. Coordinator can expect to have multiple meetings with Community Education throughout the year handle prep work and programming for wrestling camps and run wrestling camps anytime after school hours. Weekly hours can vary anywhere between 0-20 hours per week.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting Rate: $25.00 per hour
No benefit eligibility other thanEarned Safe and Sick Time (ESST)as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching wrestling preferred.
Experience participating in wrestling preferred.
