SQL Database DeveloperAdministrator (Secret Clearance and US Citizenship Required)

Our Government Services prime client is seeking an experienced SQL Developer with an active Secret security clearance to support them and their government customer in Huntsville AL.

• This is not strictly a DBA position; candidates must have hands-on experience developing and building out new databases.

Essential Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Directs and monitors installation configuration and consolidation of Database Administration activities and performs all mid-level DB activities
• Develops and maintains security provisions to guard against unauthorized updates copying or destruction of databases
• Maintains redlined configuration schematics user manuals SOPs TTPs Change Management and provides performance metrics to the Project Manager as required
• Assigns Meta Tags and develops search strategies user membership rules record relationships and data compression techniques
• Maintains the Meta Tag library as required for data analytics within IA and cybersecurity guidelines
• Determines characteristics of data elements and the nature of control to ensure transactions recorded for one function automatically create file notations reports or actions for related functions
• Responsible for incident and problem response management root cause analysis and all required documentation and communications to the government for workforce situational awareness
• Ensures policies and procedures for the administration control and verification of data used
• Assists database system users concerning database languages and procedures; answers questions on the availability of existing data information data structure processing procedures and the feasibility of modifying existing structures and processes
• Responsible for data class assignments data architecture data standards and the compilation and cataloging of data dictionaries
• Ensures resource management for SAN and data repositories

Qualifications :

Position Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology and a minimum of 5 years of SQL database development/administrator experience
• Must Have Certifications: Security Certificate or higher
• Must hold an active US Government Secret Clearance
• Must work on-site daily in Huntsville Al
• Experience with SQL and Virtual DB environments
• Ability to create and maintain complex functions stored procedures and complex queries for applications and business intelligence reporting
• Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging SQL code
• Capable of optimizing database performance
• Understanding of indexing querying and normalization
• Expertise in analyzing queries developing security protocols and resolving problems
• Possess strong data management skills with an understanding of database integrity and security
• Experience with documentation including updating schematics configurations metric/performance reports user manuals SOPs and Change Management requests as required
• Familiar with risk management processes including security technical implementation guides plans of action and milestones
• Capable of obtaining a government-approved computing education certification consistent with primary skills within 6 months of hire

Clearance Requirement: 

• Secret security clearance
