Role purpose
- Responsible for developing and delivering product siting and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives aligned to the AMEA 5 year plans and CU P&L requirements linking with other functions to ensure effective and efficient execution.
- To support the delivery and coordination of strategic supply chain design programs as part of the AMEA P&S strategic priorities.
- To lead the design and development of the supply chain network strategies aligned to customer portfolio and market requirements and growth agenda for specific Commercial Units.
- To enhance the 5 year supply chain financial performance and competitiveness in the market place for agreed product and country priorities aligned to the specific CU.
Accountabilities
- Develop formulation fill and pack (FF&P) product siting proposals to support NPI and network optimization initiatives aligned to the regional strategic priorities and business 5 year plans.
- Responsible for leading the design getting alignment and approval of the supply chain strategy of certain markets or clusters working in partnership with other functions (ie: procurement finance etc) to define sources of raw materials and active ingredients and linking those suppliers with the overall manufacturing network of the region.
- Lead and own the development of the AME P&S supply chain network strategy to enable the function to be supporting the specfic CU 5 year business strategy.
- To shape the cost competitiveness contribution from strategic supply chain design changes to support specific CU 5 year plan.
- Act as overall strategy programme manager including reporting alignment of the individual projects resourcing interdependencies budgeting alignment to Country and P&S budgets
- Lead implementation of supply chain re-designs aligned to CU business and sanctions frameworks including AI sourcing changes (in accordance with any sanctions in place) FF&P network re-designs.
- Ensure business goals are met guaranteeing compliance with local legislations as well as product siting policies and procedures and ensuring that key business stakeholders and regional and global governance for siting and strategic decisions is adhered to.
- Develop and presentation of the business case rationale for product siting proposals including cost of goods analysis capex investment needs inventory impacts visualization of trade-offs of siting options incl. make or buy analysis.
- Ensure timely execution of all steps needed to ensure all siting decisions are completed to secure business aligned to the regional budgets and 5 year plans.
- Coordinate the required activities involved in the evaluation and decision-making process (business cases customer requirements analysis product and process change control process (PPCC) follow-up technical analysis registrations evaluations raw materials packaging Risk Analysis IR Matrix technical capabilities validation environmental license etc.)
- Consolidate Global Technical documents (A-card Manufacturing procedure MSDS analytical method packaging test reports) to support or perform feasibility analysis.
- Define feasibility of introduction of New Products for Sites or Tollers aligned with all areas involved (Regional Supply Operations Leads FF&P Customs and Trade Operations CU P&S Heads PT&E HSE&Q Finance)
- Support Regional Supply Chain Strategy Manager in supporting or even leading specified Regional Asset Strategy processes and/or projects
- Maintain an understanding of the business context relating to the role scope e.g. through establishing a network with Regional Supply Operations and CU P&S Heads.
- Participates in the Regional Product Siting governance body.

Qualifications :
Critical Knowledge And Education
Knowledge Experience & Capabilities
- Bachelors degree or equivalent ( in Engineering or Science)
- Fluent in English
- Appreciation of Manufacturing or HSE beneficial but not mandatory
Critical Experience
- Min 5 years in managing production / manufacturing formulation engineering or supply position in a in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
- Manufacturing background is a plus
- Proven strong experience in working in regulated environments
- Program or project management experience is a plus (ideally with a qualification in one of Syngentas recognized approaches (e.g. PMP Prince2 etc.)
- Several years of working experience in complex country regional global environment where many project members and stakeholders are remote.
- Working experience with standard project management methodologies and tools including Microsoft Teams & MS Office Applications (very good skills in Excel) Smartsheet Power BI Sharepoint etc.
- Understanding of the political pressures on stakeholders and the business realities they face.
