Position Overview
Responsibilities Include:
Patient population: The patient population consists of adults navigating urologic cancers such as prostate bladder kidney and testicular malignancies. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients across their cancer journeyfrom diagnosis and treatment to ongoing surveillance and survivorship.
Inpatient care:
First-assistant in the OR (robot laparoscopic open cases).
Rounding on patients in the acute post-operative phase who are admitted to the hospital for surgery
Post-operative wound care and pain management
Timely collaboration with consulting physicians
Coordinating discharges from the hospital
Evaluation of new consults.
Outpatient Care: Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians as well as a multidisciplinary team completes outpatient documentation ina timelyfashion and performs clinic procedures as applicable.
Hours: Monday Friday
Shared night and weekend call: home call for service during the week and weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for emergency cases.
