Rate of Pay: 14.32- 18.72 per hour
Summary:
The Systems Support Officer serves as a vital member of the LGSS Business Systems Team contributing to the effective operation and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The primary focus of this role is to provide high-quality customer-focused technical support ensuring that business systems meet both statutory requirements and the evolving needs of users. The post holder acts as a first point of contact for system queries and may deputize for the Business Systems Support Manager when necessary
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial contact for system users performing assessments of incoming issues and resolving basic technical problems or escalating complex cases to functional analysts
- Execute daily tasks including managing interfaces extracts and reports as well as performing service request activities such as user administration and updating lists of values
- Manage the call list via LANDesk and the team inbox ensuring accurate records are maintained for incidents and change requests involving third-party suppliers.
- Assist in preparing user guides to enhance learning. Identify and suggest service improvements to ensure the continued relevance and timeliness of the ERP service.
- Work proactively with colleagues across the wider LGSS department (such as Helpdesk and User Admin) to ensure collaborative and timely service delivery.
Qualifications:
Essentials:
- Proven experience in a customer-focused support or technical environment.
- Practical experience using ERP systems (specifically Agresso or Oracle).
- Experience in producing system reports and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Knowledge of Data Protection and experience within Local Government.
- A full UK driving license
