IT Infrastructure Platform Engineer

They support clients across multiple industries by delivering scalable high-quality tech solutions. The company has a solid presence in Portugal and operates internationally.

We are looking for an experienced Infra Platform Architect to design implement and optimize hybrid infrastructures that meet both business and technical requirements. The role involves defining standards governance and strategies to ensure efficiency scalability and security across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design hybrid infrastructure architectures that satisfy technical and business needs including developing reusable blueprints and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates;
• Lead cloud adoption projects migrating workloads from on-premises to cloud environments assessing existing systems and recommending optimizations for performance cost and risk;
• Establish governance and compliance frameworks define security policies and ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 27001; manage identity access control data encryption and network security;
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services tools and frameworks aligned with business objectives; stay current on emerging technologies such as serverless computing containerization (e.g. Kubernetes) and edge computing;
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort; implement automation for provisioning scaling and monitoring using tools like Terraform Ansible Rundeck or AWS CloudFormation;
• Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for infrastructure updates and design orchestration workflows to streamline deployment and management;
• Optimize infrastructure by modernizing legacy systems to maximize cloud performance resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness;
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IT service delivery data analytics and integration to maintain a cohesive and secure IT ecosystem;
• Document configurations standards and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across the infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Infra Platform Architect or a similar role;
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field;
• Strong background in IT infrastructure and standard on-premises infrastructure services;
• Ability to design enterprise-grade infrastructure and platform services;
• Experience with agile sprint planning and aligning infrastructure sprints with broader organizational goals;
• Familiarity with automation tools scripting languages and DevOps practices;
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a strong plus;
• Proactive mindset in exploring new technologies and implementing innovative solutions;
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including routing IP addressing and protocols at a Cisco CCNA level or equivalent.
