About The Role

The Aboriginal & Islander Partnerships Manager has a strong aptitude for Aboriginal and Islander partnerships and engagement with remote and regional communities with deep cultural awareness and drive to realise self-determination.

The position will maintain and deliver an Aboriginal and Islander Partnerships Strategy co-designed with Aboriginal and Islander communities and the FORM Aboriginal and Islander Advisory Committee for the benefit of communities according to their needs goals aspirations and capacity. It will be delivered working in collaboration with the wider FORM team.

The position is fixed-term part-time for six months working between 16-24 hours per week. The position will be part of a job share arrangement with days of work open to flexibility. There is a potential for the role to continue after the fixed-term arrangement. The remuneration suggested is based on the position fulfilling a full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Co-design and deliver transformational arts and cultural projects with Aboriginal and Islander communities working with key partners to scope fund and manage major initiatives across metro regional and remote locations.
  • Support Spinifex Hill Studios governance by working with the CEO SHS senior staff and SHSAC to maintain cultural safety strengthen community relationships and build partnerships with artists and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships and funding relationships support FORMs Aboriginal and Islander governance framework and build organisational awareness of cultural protocols and community engagement sensitivities.
  • Lead people and culture functions by fostering a positive ONE FORM culture guiding workforce planning and talent development providing proactive HR advice and managing a team of staff and arts workers

What Youll Need to Get You Started

  • Availability to undertake regular regional travel to achieve project-specific objectives.
  • Tertiary qualification in arts management tourism or a related discipline.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Aboriginal and Islander partnership and stakeholder engagement for major projects.
  • Current within one (1) month or ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Current and unrestricted C Class Drivers licence

Desirable Qualifications

  • IAP2 Certification
  • ICIP protocol training
  • Experience working in Indigenous art sector or regional Aboriginal communities
