- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Oversight of financial reporting in line with IFRS
- Budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- Delivery of accurate decision-useful financial insights to senior management
- Controls Governance & Risk:
- Strong internal control environments and process discipline
- Oversight of reconciliations balance sheet integrity and audit readiness
- Engagement with internal and external auditors
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within financial services
- Liquidity Capital & Cash Flow:
- Cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
- Capital allocation support and balance sheet optimisation
- Monitoring and reporting on key financial risk areas
- Stakeholder & Business Partnering:
- Acting as a finance business partner to operational and executive stakeholders
- Translating financial information into commercial insight
- Supporting strategic initiatives and change projects
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Managing mentoring and developing finance teams
- Driving accountability delivery and continuous improvement
- Building strong collaborative finance functions
Ideal Background:
- CA(SA) qualification
- Experience as a Financial Manager within financial services
- Strong technical foundation with a commercial mindset
- Comfortable operating in regulated deadline-driven environments
- Proven ability to add value beyond the numbers
