Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team in Doha Qatar. As an Accounts Payable specialist you will play a crucial role in managing our companys financial obligations and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Process and verify invoices expense reports and payment requests
- Manage vendor accounts and maintain accurate records in the Accounts Payable ledger
- Reconcile Accounts Payable sub-ledger with the General Ledger
- Prepare and process domestic and international payments
- Assist in monthly quarterly and year-end closing procedures
- Monitor and reconcile vendor statements and handle vendor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and local tax regulations
- Prepare and file various tax-related documents including TDS and VAT reconciliations
- Assist in payroll processing and related tasks
- Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records
- Implement and maintain an efficient filing system for financial documents
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements in Qatar
- Experience with foreign currency transactions and international payments
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
