Job Summary
Centurion is proud to be the provider ofdental servicesto the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-timeDental Assistantto join our teamatReception and Medical Centerlocated inLake Butler Florida (Union County).
The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments preparing and maintaining the dental operatory operating radiographic equipment and additional administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
- Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employment
- Florida Radiograph Certificate or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employment
- Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred or willing to obtain one upon hire
- Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hire
- Ability to pass a security clearance to include drug screen and complete criminal background check
6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday
