Summary: ATS is seekinga Resident InspectorAPI 653 preferable with additional API certsto support our ATSRichmond VA office for permanent employment for this Resident Inspector position in Franklin VA. Looking forLOCALCandidates and those qualified and able to relocate to Franklin VA as RELO Assistanceis available. NO PER DIEM.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs field inspections of tanks and piping for compliance with standards and regulations and ensures quality control and compliance.
  • Provides recommendations for repairs and alterations to tanks pressure vessels piping and other components.
  • Industrial inspection operations and maintenance experience.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results
  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office Suite: Word Excel Power-pointAutoCAD.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment.
  • Performs field inspections of tanks pressure vessels and piping for compliance with standards and regulations and ensures quality control and compliance.
  • Provides recommendations for repairs and alterations to tanks pressure vessels piping and other components.
  • Plant engineering or steel fabrication experience.
  • Industrial inspection operations and maintenance experience.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Current API Certification in API 653. Additional API certs preferred.
  • Additional NDT Certifications are desirable but not required.
  • Able to relocate to Franklin VA for this Resident Inspector position.

  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding ladders elevated platforms man-baskets etc.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling stooping climbing etc.
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners penetrants film developing chemicals etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
