DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Graduate Assistant for Cheer/Dance
DEPARTMENT: Athletic Department
SUPERVISOR: Head Cheer and Dance Coach
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include assisting the head coach in areas of practice organization organizing travel accommodations program administration fundraising recruitment study programs and other duties as assigned by either the head coach assistant coach or athletic director. Successful candidates should display great integrity and have a demonstrated commitment to our mission and values of learning and leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must be accepted into a graduate school program at Cumberland University
- Previous college cheerleading/dance experience preferred
- Knowledge of elite level cheer/dance skills
- Must have the ability to work with Microsoft Office/Google Drive programs
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Required: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
COMPENSATION:
- Full tuition waiver on-campus housing meal plan and valuable experience within the cheerleading industry (NO STIPEND OR BOOKS INCLUDED)
HOURS:
- Required 20 hours a week minimum for term of graduate program
- Must have flexible working hours to accommodate athletic schedules
